Nom Comm Report:

Peter Lane reported

1. On the subject of Assistant Clerk we still have no one to nominate.
  • We offer the notion of a committee made up of the current clerk and experienced former clerks (Laurie and Peter) and one “new” member.
  • This group would stand ready to fill in when Kevin needed to be away and to be a teaching group for the new member. The new member would prepare to be the next clerk, whenever that position needed to be filled.

2. We talked about “shaking down” the committees.

  • We will look at the committee lists so we know who might like to switch to another committee.
  • NB the Pastoral Care and Concerns Ctte is about to roll out the new “buddy system”. We’ll be asking active members on any of the committees, who are willing, to take on a family just to let them know we are thinking of them. ... and maybe from that effort we'll get a few more folks to populate our committees ... maybe.

3. New news: Branin Boyd told me that he’ll need to be replaced within this year.

Treasurer’s report:

  • Branin reported that we are in pretty good shape.
  • Rept attached accepted and approved.

Notes on Worship Sharing regarding the state of our meeting gleaned from our MM on 12/16/2007.

Kevin prepared a summary of our discussion from the January MM and we listened as he read them. More discussion will follow.

Respectfully submitted,

Peter Lane
Temporary Recording Clerk
